About Us
Dr. Richard A. Dean and Mr. T. E. Northup founded Leading Edge Engineering, Inc. in 1993 after both had extensive engineering and executive management experience in government and private sectors, and were directly involved in originating new programs. This involved many major design-build projects and the development of new products. They bring this varied and comprehensive experience to Leading Edge’s consulting services.
In forming Leading Edge Engineering, Dean and Northup were able to assemble a number of highly qualified and experienced engineers, scientists and technicians.
A Subsidiary named HireTech, currently managed by Kitja Horpayak, was formed in 1995 in response to our client’s requests to support their need for temporary in-house engineers, scientists, and technicians. These contract personnel, hired by Leading Edge Engineering, are placed within a client’s facilities and are managed by their staff. When the need is satisfied, the contract employee is returned to Leading Edge for subsequent assignment to another client in need.
